Ender Dulundu is a lecturer and surgeon at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul, in the General Surgery clinic, and is also the director and founder of the Liver Transplantation Program.

Prof.Dulundu graduated from Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty and completed his residency at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.

In the last year of his residency, he visited to Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery Division, Artificial Organ and Transplantation Division, Department of Surgery, Graduate School of Medicine, University of Tokyo, Japan as a visiting doctor. Then, He worked with Prof. Mitsuru Sasako on gastric cancer surgery at Tokyo National Cancer Center in 2002, and later on in 2003 and 2004 He worked with Prof. Masatoshi Makuuchi as a Fellow of the Japanese Foundation for Promotion of Cancer Research in Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery Division, Artificial Organ and Transplantation Division, Department of Surgery, Graduate School of Medicine, University of Tokyo, Japan.

After returning to Turkey, he established the Liver Transplant Unit in Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2006 and performed the first successful liver transplantation.

Between 2005 and 2007, he was several times as a visiting professor at Hopital Paul Brousse, Center Hepato-Biliaire, hospital in Paris, and received "European University Diplomacy" in the field of Onco-Surgical strategies in Liver, Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery

In 2010, he received Endoscopic Ultrasonography Training at the Gentofte Hospital of Copenhagen University, one of the world's most important Endoscopic Ultrasonography Training Centers.

In 2011, he was invited to Marmara University Faculty of Medicine to establish the liver transplantation unit and started the liver transplantation program. Until 2021, he worked here as the director of the hepato, biliary and pancreatic surgery and the Liver Transplantation Unit.

Currently He is working at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, General Surgery Department, Hepato Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery Clinic as a faculty member and also as a founding director of the Liver Transplant Program.

Prof. Dulundu has been an invited speaker at more than 300 national/international congresses and meetings. Dulundu, who has published many national and international research articles, also has a chapter as an author in national and international books and serve as a referee in international journals.
Prof.Dulundu was accepted to the Fellow of the American Collage of Surgeons in 2016, worked as a member of the liver transplantation scientific committee of the Ministry of Health for a while and served as the Executive Board Member of the Turkish HPB Association and Director of the Education Board. He is still a member of the IASGO (International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists), and Surgery Board Member. Prof. Dulundu will also President of the World Congress of the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologist and Oncologist, which will be held in Turkey in 2022.
